During our internships or full-time trainee program, we do not waste time. Whether you're an design intern designing graphic tees or a software engineering intern working on the Kohl's App, you'll be an integrated part of the team on day one. No intern gloves.

We pay you
How much you say? Competitive doesn’t even cut it. Interns and trainees work 40 hours a week for 8 to 10 weeks over the summer. That’s a lot of dough. Oh, and did we mention many interns are invited to stick around after graduation? Imagine walking into senior year with real experience and a potential job offer already lined up.

2026 Summer Internship Timeline

Virtual interviews are typically conducted from mid-September to early November depending on when your application was submitted.

Offer Notification
Candidates receive an offer within 1-2 weeks following the final interview.

Emerging Talent Summit

This annual virtual spring event is open to college freshmen and sophomores exploring a future in retail — and it's an experience you won’t want to miss! Submit your information here if you'd like to be added to our ETS Distribution list. You'll be the first to find out about event details and when applications will open (usually in February).

It's never too early to start thinking about where you want to intern! Because our internship program is conversion-based (we aim to offer most interns full time jobs when they complete their summer here) we are looking for students who will intern between their Junior and Senior years.

All of Kohl's internships take place during the summer months starting the first week of June. Interns working in a Kohl's Store will have an eight week internship and all other internships are ten weeks long.
Yes! All internship programs at Kohl's are paid positions.
Yes, absolutely! We just ask that your campus contacts reach out to us directly and we can provide the information necessary for you to get credit. Once you accept your position, you can connect with your Recruiter about this.
Kohl’s can not hire students into Internships or Full Time Programs that require Sponsorship now or in the future. This includes CPT, OPT, and STEM OPT which eventually require sponsorship for continued employment authorizations in the future (e.g, H-1B visa).
