Store Leadership Intern
The Kohl's Store Leadership Internship provides an eight week experience for you to explore various aspects
within a Kohl's store and an opportunity to lead directly alongside Store Executive Management. From Human
Resources and Operations to Merchandising and Developing Teams, as a Store Leadership Intern you will be
exposed to the behind the scenes of running a $10M-$20M+ dollar Kohl's store. The retail environment is
evolving and so are our stores. During the internship, you will also gain exposure to omnichannel management. Learn what we sell, how we sell it, who we sell it to, and where we sell it.
The internship takes place inside a Kohl's store where you will not only learn store operations and how to drive
sales but you will also learn about our most powerful asset: Our People. You will interact with, learn about, and
engage with many different associates. In addition, you will spend time at the heart of the company:
on the sales floor, with our Customers, helping us better understand how to fulfill and empower lives. You will also
learn how to have courageous conversations, navigate peer to peer relationships, and how to lead and inspire teams
(what we do best at Kohl's)!

With over 1,100 stores, our Store Leadership Internship is available nationwide and begins in June.
What you'll do
Lead a Final Store Walk with your District Manager
Manage a department and participate in behind-the-scenes merchandising, operations and planning

Qualifications / Requirements
Graduation date between Fall 2024 and Summer 2025
Full-time availability June through July (40 hours/week), Must be available nights and weekends
Desire to pursue a career in retail leadership
Highly adaptable

Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work as part of a team and effectively interact with others

Store Leadership Trainee
Looking for a career where you can own your personal development? Where the self motivated are valued and
teamwork is just as important? Look no further! Store Leadership Trainees, or SLTs (Leaders in Training), go through a 12 week structured training program that prepares you to be an Assistant Store Manager in one of our $10M-$20M dollar Kohl’s stores. Upon successful completion of the program, you will be placed as an Assistant Store Manager.
As an Assistant Store Manager, you are a part of the store executive team and you will have a significant role in leading associate development as well as assessing and evolving your own development. Our Assistant Store Managers are the champions for collaborating, communicating, educating, embracing a customer-centric mindset and taking initiative to lead business directives and workload demands.

Career Growth
After successful completion of the 12 week training program, SLTs are placed in a store with an available opening as an Assistant Store Manager. The potential developmental career path of an SLT: SLT, Assistant Store Manager, StoreManager, District Manager
Location & Start Date
With over 1,100+ stores, the Store Leadership Trainee position is available nationwide. We offer start dates in February, April, June, July, August and September based on your graduation date.
