As a Product Development Intern you will assist your team in developing, sourcing, and executing all of Kohl's private and exclusive label brands - the ones that are ONLY available at Kohl's (LC Lauren Conrad, Apt. 9, Sonoma, etc.)

What you’ll do

  • Help your office competitive shop - aka see what our major competitors are selling and decide if there are opportunities within our assortment
  • Assist with daily activities: color reviews, vendor emails, meeting set-up and product review
  • Shadow and learn from all levels of your team, especially the product development coordinator (the role that interns are hired back as!)
  • Develop business skills such as collaboration, communication, business analytics and increase product specific knowledge

  • Undergraduate junior
  • You have a passion for all aspects of a product: sales, market relevancy, textiles, etc.
  • You work with a sense of urgency and adapt well to change - "no day is the same" sounds like something you would love
  • You're a great communicator- you get along with a range of personalities and backgrounds

  • Facilitate communication with vendors to ensure timely and quality product

Strategic Sourcing Intern

That just sounds impressive.

As a Strategic Sourcing intern, you will support the execution of the sourcing strategy by researching and analyzing information that impacts the supply chain and strategy implementation, vendor onboarding, and communication.

What you’ll do
  • Execute strategic sourcing reporting, presentations, data analysis and internal/external communication
  • help maintain supplier profiles for private and exclusive brands
  • Generate and analyze quarterly product data. Ex. the spend analysis for a quarterly divisional meeting
  • Support global product services leadership for special research projects as needed
  • Help support the planning & maintenance of the sourcing calendar
  • Analyze and recommend updates and improvements to planning and communication tools to support efficiency
  • Partner with Global Trade Compliance, Accounts Payable, Global Product Services and Logistics teams for new vendor onboarding

  • Undergraduate junior
  • You have a passion for and/or a background in research and analysis
  • You excel in Excel. Your spreadsheets have spreadsheets and you understand how to use features like pivot tables and file linking
